Drop one or more files (or folders) on to this applet and you can add something to the beginning of each filename with Prepend, or you can replace part of the filename.

Say you took a bunch pictures during a trip to Yellowstone, and you have 200 pictures named DSCN0001, DSCN0002, ... etc. You want them named YellowstoneDSCN0001, etc. Drop them on Bulk Rename and select Prepend, type Yellowstone, and it's done.

Say you then realize you don't want the DSCN part. Drop them on Bulk Rename and select Replace. Type DSCN, then nothing, and the files will be named Yellowstone0001, etc.
