Monitor Off

Monitor Off is just a little tool to turn off the video to your monitor immediately. It does the same thing that Windows does when the “Turn off monitor” timeout in Power Options has expired.
This zip file contains two programs:
- MonitorOffNow.exe - turns off the monitor immediately and exits. You could put a shortcut to it in your Quick Launch toolbar, or double-click it on your desktop, etc.
- MonitorOffTray.exe - adds an icon to the System Tray (the area with the clock on the taskbar). Click the icon and turn off the monitor. You could add this to your Start Menu Startup folder and it would always be available.
Note that you can just put a program file itself in the Quick Launch or Startup folders. These are quite small...
